Opel corsa power steering and transmission fluid?

The gears are manual ie I use a clutch. The manual doesn't appear to make any sense it just lists and assortment of numbers and letters without any apparent order.

I went to get fluid to put into the power steering reservoir, they gave me automatic transmission fluid that has the words 'recommended for power steering units'.

The one word bothering me is automatic. Is this all right to put into the power steering reservoir?|||Yup.

It'll be fine.

ADDED:

The only difference really between PS fluid, and A/T trans fluid is the color.|||No worriers in using that fluid but if you're concerned still then call up the dealership and ask a customer service rep to explain the owners manual info to you further.

Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way it's vital at all times to use the correct, proper, factory recommended fluids in any vehicle.|||what age of corsa is it most are fitted with electric power steering which dont req fluid but yeah gearbox oil is normally used in powersteering the fluid is usually red in colour|||on some cars you can use automatic transmission fluid in the power steering.
