Why is Opel signum so cheap? Are they good cars overall?

I love the Opel Signum design, i think they look really nice. If i saw it on road and didnt the prices of it, i would think they cost more than 20 thousand euros but you can find good ones costing 7000 or 8000 euros.

Why are they so cheap? Are they good cars? I am thinking of buying one.|||Dreadful car, all the reliability issues of the nasty Vectra, but without all the versatility of the size of it. If you buy one, it's your funeral, that and your savings. Buy a Skoda Octavia instead. Far better car, and will keep going, and be worth more in 5 years than the Signum in 2 years. Avoid.|||ok...

like it or not however..

The Signum is a variant of the Vectra with a longer wheelbase and an estate type back but shorter than the estate.

Only has two seats in the back (but may have a third seat which a child could use...)

The car is cheap for a few reasons...many were sold as fleet cars to sales reps so they have been a long way.

They also were not a popular buy and have depreciated worse than a similar spec Vectra.

The new Insignia has also caused prices to drop as it is not as expensive new as the Signum was.

If you would be happy with a Vectra and don;t mind the backseat issue it is a good bargain.

Good luck !|||Large car but only a 4 seater so illegal to carry more than 4 people in.

Few people tended to agree with you about the looks

Most people would not choose a car for themselves to drive that had the main attribute of being good for the rear seat passengers.

A GM mistake based on dodgy marketing research.

If you still like it then it is a bargain price
