How can Fiat, maybe Europe's weakest, think about taking Saab - Opel - Chrysler?

Where is the money coming from - private ie (family) or public. How come Fiat can do all this when almost every other auto company is failing?

Me smells something and it aint fish!|||Actually Fiat group is ranked between the largest 30 firms worldwide (according to Fortune); the top 30, not just top 30 between car makers (anyway Fiat doesn't make just cars and trucks).

Fiat is today a healthy and profitable company, unlike few years ago (thanks to Sergio Marchionne work) and is suffering for the current crisis less than any other European car makers , and the crisis in Europe is not at the same level than in North America (especially in continental Europe).|||When it comes to high stakes finance - lots of things smell rather funny.

Consider, a year after KMart filed for bankruptcy, they bought Sears.

Go figure.
