Is it possible to connect an Opel (or Vauxhall) to a laptop computer?

Would it be possible to connect an Opel (aka Vauxhall) Corsa/Zafira, year 2000/2009, to a laptop computer and create an online GUI showing different types of settings, milage, specifications, ...

It's an idea I had for my thesis, combining my interest in webdevelopment as well as automotive engineering. If it is, how do you think I can connect them?|||Should be able to get an interface to hook to the OBI plug under the drivers dash, but not sure what software you'd need to access the computer. There are stand alone reprogramers for like $ 400 that can access the computer, so maybe look for one of those that could download to you laptop. I do know that the engine computer programming code is a VERY tightly kept secret, tho.|||Your idea is a bit late, in fact its so late that you can buy the program and tools dirt cheap these days, made in China but what do you want for cheap?
