Is the car maker Vauxhall the same as Opel?

i see they have names used on both makers that are the same.|||Opel is German and Vauxhall is British they are both owned by the same parent company, but some exact models do have different names|||both of these companies are owned by GM general motors|||Yes both belong to General Motors|||No two different companies but both owned by GM kinda like Ford and Mercury
